The Earth on which we walk,
Seems to gain momentum as people talk.
How can this be,
When it’s all been done before me.
Yet it seems I cannot to keep up,
Further behind people, I get stuck.
I see them far ahead,
I call and watch them turn their head.
From each view point we are all further,
My mind spinning fast than ever,
So complex and evolved,
Now the Earth seems to faster revolve.
Much quicker than I can begin to solve,
The small tasks; they never dissolve.
And they appear to get much bigger is what I can see,
I know there is something missing in me.
I pick up and write with my pen,
Until the world makes some kind of sense to me again.
I’m just thankful for family and friends,
That also struggle on ’til the end.
And leave their art in the world,
In the form of their lives, they have whirled.
I hate how fast this world spins sometimes,
I don’t want to leave this home of mine.
I am happy here, but I know there is more peace to find,
So, I shall fast forward and then rewind,
And try to make the most of my time.
