They said love is blind,
It is when my eyes are guided by the electricity of your fingertips you may find.
That’s all they see,
Your breath, your words, they take over me.
I don’t know what I was before, and I don’t know what to believe,
My nakedness uncovered like Adam and Eve.
Volumes of magic that should not be able to be,
Have taken hold of everything, I can’t find even a leaf.
It hurts less this time,
As I see infinity rhyme.
And I know that I am not the only one left here in the elusive real,
There are other much bigger and realer deals.
I can fight my small battles, that feel like Goliath,
Because voices have said so, even though family and friends may be biased.
I will just keep plucking away, not too much nor to little,
For nobody knows the fates, they have always been fickle.
There is a part of me that lives just beyond they sunset,
And a part of me hasn’t left our Earth yet.
Which is the bigger part could be anyone’s best guess,
So, I’ll guess and guess again and until I pass the Angels next test.
And my words may catch fire, rewire a desire,
Or they may inspire you to perspire and walk the barbed wire.
We will always find a better place to play,
This is my truth that will out one of these days.
Until then we don’t know when our paths may cross,
But, if a love can’t be found, it cannot be lost.
