The true version of you came to me in a dream,

My young self asking you to let me in.

You were worried and I could not see why,

To win you over beg and plead I did try.

You agreed to let me into your realm,

And straight away I was overwhelmed.

I thought you had been protecting yourself,

I thought I had been worthy as well.

But, now I do see that who you were protecting was me,

A tangible magic comes from the words that you speak.

You make the God of God’s like like a toddler in their sleep,

And I thought I could offer you a kingdom in me,

But, when I am with you who I am ceases to be.

Your golden energy is fully encompassing me,

In your presence I am just a small lightning thief.

Your words are the shield that has protected me.

With all of the riches in the world past and present,

I could not build what you have in an infinity without relent.

The truth is that you are the only thing that is true,

You did this with ease by you just being you.

The truth is you’re truer than I could ever be,

The truth is your love is bigger than the ocean and sea.

The truth is I thank you for keeping me,

Secret from your secret world before I could even dream.

The truth is I could not express how much you do mean,

Not with all the words in all the dictionary.

To be as true as you I have to come clean,

In presence of you is what I mean.

If there were a photo of us that could show who we are,

You would be the fairest lady and me, but a tiny scar.

That you shouldn’t have to wear you my baby,

I am a blemish on your beauty and you shouldn’t have to see me and my crazy.
