To my friend Damone,
I can’t believe God has already taken you home.
With laughter and love your presence has shown,
That time time on Earth is a delicate thing to own.
You were a budding flower in the dark of night,
Everyone you spoke to could see your shinning light.
As a warrior you took on the brave fight,
Interwoven love in the twilight.
Our paths have now met and parted,
But remember this my dearly departed.
I cannot forget you now that I have seen,
The angels called humans, I have to believe.
And I’ll see you again at the bottom of the stream,
In this strange thing called life that is but a dream.
So ashes to ashes and bones to bones,
You’ll never be alone now, as God took you home.
I’ll pour one out for you as your wings have been flown,
You must be a piece of God now, and you soul fully grown.
Rest in peace my friend,
I hope to see you again at the end.
I am listening for your feedback and welcome your comment.
