During; Afterwards and then Before

During; Afterwards and then Before

[Written: 2024-10-13]

During everyday life, including and possibly especially life with mental health issues, orders are constantly rearranged and “messed up”. We have a problem; be it mental health wise or other; we deal with it; then we create and develop tools, methods and memories to tackle the same or similar issues if they happen again.

It can feel as if before, during and after happen all at once.

But to me, and maybe I am unique in this way of thinking (I’m not sure) but, it feels like (and makes more sense) if the order was during; afterwards and then before. We endure a point in time; look and analyse it after that point, then understand a little better what happened before, and have a better ability to tackle “before” something happens next time.

None of us know what happened at the start of time or; or the entirety of it until the present day; so we don’t and can’t know all of before. But we are constantly experiencing now, analysing it and understanding the experience after, then filling in the blanks of before within ourselves; others and the world.

The cycle never ceases as their are brand new experiences happening with and within every new life; and with every new day. Something that can be viewed as complicated or simple; ancient or brand new. Any which way; today brings new experiences that we can enjoy tomorrow and help us remember yesterday.
