A Riddle Unasked

[Written: 2024-08-30]

My word, my being you now acquest,

An object of possession – I am possessed.

An insatiable gaze – your infinity calling,

Feeling exposed – morality falling.

Take now my broken soul,

I can trade it again for a delicate hold.

You are a sensation hotter than hell-fire,

God plus the devil, my mind rewire.

The female Lucifer must you be,

To feel torn apart again like this – can you not see.

I shall only prefer it this way right now,

To be held captive by devastating grace  – just for as long as you will allow.

Until paths forged back to you forever do stay,

My mind wanders farther yet closer every day.

The tears that I cry as unowned as the skies,

They dry the insides drowning as we open our eyes.

Now I must write what is left and leave what is right,

Just as soon as I find the time to not fight self and embrace you until the morning light.

It’s very good, Adam. I read till the end without averting my gaze .. that means , it held my attention and I was very engrossed!
