As I woke today I slowly remembered what happened yesterday,

A friend lost, a toll that will cost his children dearly on the way,

A huge man, but a tiny grain of sand in the infinite world we live in,

Even though he donned angel wings that curved around the time and space of every living being.

In the eye of my mind I an see him talking, he is standing still as we are walking and I hear his voice say don’t worry I’m okay,

I try to talk back, but all I hear him say is be careful, so you can look back at your yesterday.

And witness a giant with the universe alive in an eye,

I will admit you made me cry.

I am now left wondering why,

But, I witnessed how easily you held the universe alive in your eye.

And though I am tired I’ll push and try,

I’ll use all of life’s lessons, yes I will apply,

Because I met the guy with the whole world in his eye.

And he told me to survive.
