Between Life and Death

Between Life and Death

Between Life and Death – is a piece of short rhyming poetry that hopefully conveys my perspective of what we are (or at least a part of it)

We are the border between life and death,

When all is done, more questions left.

We choose to go forward or quit like the rest,

We are our own quest and put life to the test.

No answer without question, but we might have to guess,

We’ll try and we’ll test until we know what’s best.

Each human a beautiful treasure not to be kept,

We are each borrowed, forget do us lest.

Undo our sorrow and relieve the bereft,

Our time is precious and we must not forget.

How heavy the world is, the weight on your chest,

So, do try to forgive and not to regret.

Because, the gift of life is the most precious, that you can bet,

And we are just getting started, it’s not over by a long shot yet.
